Many of you have been on this blogging journey with me for the past five years. What fun and exciting ride it’s been. I remember the day I started blogging about my time working at Disneyland. It was all excitement, adventures, and living the magic. When the day came for me to turn in my name tag, I was heartbroken. Working for Disney had always been a dream of mine. Ever since I learned about Walt Disney and his passion to create things– I knew I wanted to be apart of it. However, I knew I had to leave Disneyland to finish my degree and focus on my studies.
The past five years seemed to drag on. Constantly waiting to get my diploma so I could take on the world. On the days I didn’t want to go to class or do homework, I would remember this blog and Tales of a Disneyland Cast Member. Sometimes it was the reason I studied and the reason I got out of bed. Blogging for me was a creative outlet and a way to share the magic. Many of you have read those entries where I made dreams come true. Many of you have been there with me as I went to press events to capture the latest Disney news. All along, I kept all of you in my heart. I write and create content because I do not want to let you down. I want to make sure no matter where you are that you feel connected to Walt’s place.
We may not know each other, but we share a common love of a magical place. This makes us
instant friends in my book. As friends, I must share some exciting news. I graduated last December with a degree in Communications and the first door I knocked on was the Walt Disney Company. I knew I had to get back and thankfully they felt the same. So I am pleased to announce that I’ve accepted a position at Corporate working in Internal Communications. As exciting as this is, it means that I must take a few steps back with Disney Darlings. I will still provide photography, however I must retire my blogging for a bit. I will still be apart of Disney Darlings, but it’s in the best interest of the blog that I step out of the limelight.
Please be patient with us as we go through the transition period and my team learns some new ropes. I appreciate all the support over the years! It’s been a true blessing to share Disney magic with such wonderful readers.
Until next time,
