Here’s the thing: I LOVE to trip plan. If you tell me you’re going to the Disneyland Resort, I’ll more than likely share my list of favorite hotels to stay at. Don’t judge. I’m not pushy. I just want to make sure people have an amazing, fun-filled experience, rather than an exhausting one filled with silver fish. A tool that comes in handy while researching hotels is Honest reviews from consumers like you who include the good, bad, and pictures to show it all!

This post will be focusing on “Good Neighbor Hotels.”

What is a Good Neighbor Hotel?

A good neighbor hotel is located within about 1 Mile of the Disneyland Resort. Typically they’ll have Disney banners, Disney merchandise in the gift shops, etc. The price, distance, and amenities all vary. The difference is they are OFF property (not a resort hotel).

Let’s start off with some of our FAVORITES (in no particular order):

Best Western Park Place Inn and Mini Suites

Located directly across from the Main Gate of Disneyland, this hotel offers convenience in more ways that one. Included in your stay is a hot breakfast at Captain Kidd’s every day, and each room has a mini fridge (great for storing snacks and water bottles), microwave, and coffee maker. The staff is kind, and it’s a great place to stay when you have little ones who need a quick break. To view more reviews for the BW Park Place Inn, check out their spot on Trip Advisor

Desert Palms Hotel and Suites

Just a quick walk from Disneyland to the corner of Disneyland Drive and West Katella, you’ll find the Desert Palm Hotel and Suites. The room quality at Desert Palms is almost as good as staying at a resort hotel. They offer a wide selection of rooms for all different groups: Standard (one king, two queens), or Suites with bunk beds, additional bathrooms, or even a personal kitchen. Similar to the Best Western, they offer a free hot breakfast every day during your stay, a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker in each room. The swimming pool is sparkling, the staff is wonderful. For more reviews, visit their page on Trip Advisor.

Ramada Plaza Anaheim

Not to be confused with the Ramada Maingate, THIS location is right across Disneyland Drive from the Desert Palms (mentioned above). Each room offers a microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge which will come in handy if you prefer to bring items to make your own breakfast rather than eat elsewhere. A bonus is, the Ramada Plaza is a non-smoking hotel, so if you’re sensitive to tobacco smoke, this is the place for you. For more reviews, visit their page on Trip Advisor.

Sheraton  Anaheim Hotel

exterior (1)

This cute cottage like hotel is right across from Disneyland! However, you will need to take their complimentary shuttle to get to the guest areas (You can walk, but the shuttle is easier).  The rooms are spacious and are some of the largest guest rooms in the Anaheim area. I love staying here because of the gardens, environments, and comfy beds. If I wasn’t a local, I would stay here often. They also have a Disney Desk in their lobby, where one can purchase tickets and ask questions. Check out more reviews on their page at Trip Advisor.

Anaheim Hilton

This is one of my favorite places to stay during any Anaheim convention. It’s actually adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center and just 1 mile from the Disneyland. They have an on-site Starbucks, which is usually a must stop for any Disneyland mornings. They also feature a Disney Desk that offer advice and sell tickets. Their rooms are elegant and some even feature firework views. I like this hotel because it offers so many conveniences and amazing customer service.
