As a follow up to my recent post about transportation at the Disneyland Resort, some of our readers craved more details on the different parking lots on property. Ask and you shall receive, we are here to help give you the best information we can in hopes of making your trip magical!

Mickey and Friends Parking Structure

Located on Disneyland Drive this structure serves as one of the major theme park parking areas. Easily accessible when exiting the 5 freeway or traveling on Ball Road, it’s proximity to the freeway makes it a favorite. This lot is also available for Magic Morning Early Admission opening 90 mins prior to Disneyland Park on scheduled Magic Morning days, and opens 60 mins before scheduled park opening on days without.  Handicap accessible parking is available at this lot (valid disability parking permit required), and the Mickey Van is ready for guests with wheelchairs and ECVs. The tram takes guests to the tram stop located just outside the bag check area. If the tram line is long try the short walk to the Downtown Disney tram stop. Don’t forget at the end of the night the trams run for one hour after the latest park closing.

Charge stations for Electric Vehicles are available on the ground floor of the Mickey and Friends.

Current pricing for Theme Park parking is listed below*:

  • $17.00 – Cars and Motorcycles
  • $20.00 – Over sized Vehicles Mickey and Friends height limit is 13’10”
  • $27.00 – Buses and tractors with trailers

Toy Story Parking Lot

Located on S. Harbor and opens 1 hour prior to scheduled Disneyland Park opening. This lot has its own buses that transport guests from stops within the parking lot to the transportation plaza on S. Harbor. There is also a designated handicap parking (valid disability parking permit required) and accessible shuttle for folks traveling with wheelchairs, ECVs or strollers as wheelchairs.

Downtown Disney Parking lot

Located off Disneyland Drive and on Magic Way this parking lot is just for Downtown Disney Patrons. So please folks, no theme park parking. This lot gives you the first three hours free, however you can get an additional 2 hours free with validation from the AMC theaters or select sit down restaurants. After your allotted free time, the rate is $6.00 per hour, charged in 20 minute increments with a maximum of $30.00 per day*.  Valet parking is available at this lot from 5pm-2am, the fee* is $6.00 on top of any parking any parking fees. Handicap parking is available in the first row of the Downtown Disney lot (valid disability parking permit required). There is no transportation from this lost as it is just steps from Downtown Disney, the Disneyland Hotel and a short walk to Paradise Pier Hotel. Take a stroll to the other end of Downtown Disney and you will find yourself just outside the security tents for the parks.

Other parking lots used during peak times/season for overflow include Simba (on Disneyland Drive, no transportation from this lot), Pumbaa (on Disney Way), and Garden Walk parking structure.

Guest Pick up and Drop Off Locations

Just dropping someone off for the day, or picking someone up? Check out these two convenient locations for drop off:

  • The West side of Harbor Blvd, located South of Manchester Ave.
  • Downtown Disney Lot North, near the Rainforest Cafe, a grace period of 15 mins is given for loading and unloading at this location.
  • Taxi’s may also use this area for drop off and pick up.

Hotel Parking

Visiting one of the hotels but not a guest, not problem here are current parking rates* for visitors.

  • Self parking – $17 first hour, $9 for every hour after, maximum $53
  • Oversized vehicle lot – $22 first hour, $9 for every hour after, maximum $53
  • Valet – $25 for first hour, $9 for every hour after, maximum $61

Hotel Guest Rates*

  • Self parking – $17 per night per vehicle
  • Oversized vehicle lot – $22 per night per vehicle
  • Valet – $25 per night per vehicle
