On this blog, I like to focus on great things around Disney and that are a good value. I want to give a spotlight and review to an establishment that I recently visited. Normally, these types of reviews would only be Yelp based. But this restaurant gives great Annual Pass, D23, Cast Member and DVC discounts. So what is this amazing place called? The Pizza Press! Situated across the street from Disneyland, this pizzeria opened in June 2012. The name references a time when customer service was king and people enjoyed conversations without TV’s. The entire shop is a newspaper theme and each pizza is named after a popular newspapers. The menu offers offers 5 newspaper themed combination. If you would rather make your own go for unlimited topping for $10 ($8 for a cheese).
Most toppings are standard, however there are a few standouts like Gouda, chorizo, artichoke hearts, and cherry tomatoes.
Once the crust is loaded with tasty goodness, it rolls through a conveyor belt oven into the finishing area where you can get your pie drizzled in sauces like BBQ or hot sauce.
The pizza here is out of this world and a great value. If you are looking for craft beer they have a huge selection and even offer beer floats!
The parking might seem like a nightmare, but they offer free valet with validation. Also, don’t worry if the line is our the door, they move through it very quickly. The selling point here is that it’s open till 1am, offers Disney Discounts, and has fresh food. The freshness and overall value of The Pizza Press is far better than any food that you could get inside Disneyland!
Make sure to visit the official Pizza Press website for official information and menus!
