Airing this Sunday February 21st, “The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60” sure will be dazzling…. and not just because it’s the diamond celebration. Some of the biggest and brightest stars from music, film, and television will be appearing to join the Master of Ceremonies, Derek Hough. Previously, it was announced that some of the participants and performers would be Kelsea Ballerini, Witney Carson, Harrison Ford, Josh Gad, Jessie J, Elton John, Tori Kelly and Kermit the Frog, Maddie Ziegler and The Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by music and artistic director Gustavo Dudamel.
In addition to that all-star line up, joining them will be Jessica Alba, Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Sabrina Carpenter, Sofia Carson, Priyanka Chopra, Viola Davis, Hilary Duff, Ginnifer Goodwin, Nolan Gould, Neil Patrick Harris, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sarah Hyland, Jimmy Kimmel, Dame Helen Mirren, Lupita Nyong’o, Pink, Alfonso Ribeiro, John Stamos, Eric Stonestreet, Kiefer Sutherland, Kerry Washington, Ariel Winter and Zendaya.
These stars will be gathering together to celebrate Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary, after Walt Disney’s dream was realized on July 17th, 1955. Walt’s legacy lives on through the resort and spans across the globe, as he revolutionized the concept of family entertainment.
After kicking off on May 22nd, 2015, the Disneyland Resort’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration will be continuing through Summer 2016 and officially end Labor Day, Monday, September 5th, 2016. Until then, guests will be able to enjoy three dazzling after dark shows created specifically for the anniversary, sparkling décor, themed food and merchandise.
